US Table Tennis Roster Announced for the 2023 Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile

USA Table Tennis (USATT) is proud to announce the official roster for the Men’s and Women’s teams that will be competing in the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile from October 29th to November 5th.


The women's team roster is represented by three outstanding players:


Lily Zhang in women's singles at the 2023 ITTF Pan Am Championships in Havana, Cuba

Lily Zhang: 3x Olympian (2012, 2016, 2020), 6x Women’s National Champion, World Rank #35, Lily remains the leading lady for the U.S. team, a position she’s held for the past decade. 12 years after she participated in her first Pan Am Games in 2011 (winning bronze in Singles & Team), she returns for the 3rd time with a wealth of experience and her eyes on gold (again).

Amy Wang: 2023 Pan Am Championship Women’s Singles Champion, 2x Women’s National Champion and history-making bronze medalist at the 2023 World University Games, Amy Wang makes her second Pan Am Games appearance in Santiago as World Rank #31.

Rachel Sung in women's singles at the 2023 ITTF Pan Am Championships in Havana, Cuba.

Rachel Sung: 2023 Women’s National Doubles Champion, 2023 World University Games bronze medalist (alongside Amy in doubles), 2022 US Table Tennis National Championships Women’s Singles bronze medalist, Rachel Sung is the only left-handed player on the team, making her a great asset in doubles. She’s making her Pan Am Games debut in Santiago.


The men's team will be represented by three exceptional athletes, who are all making their Pan Am Games debut.

Sid Naresh in men's singles at the 2023 ITTF Pan Am Championships in Havana, Cuba.

Sid Naresh: 2023 U.S. National U21 Men’s Singles Champion and 2023 Pan Am Youth U19 semifinalist, Sid brings determination, fight and experience from his recent training in Europe to the Pan Am Games.

Nandan Naresh: Winner of the 2023 Adult National Team Trials and U19 National Team Trials, Nandan earned 2nd place in the U19 event at the Pan Am Youth Championships this summer. He’s known for his creative and “keep you on your toes” playing style.

Jishan Liang: 2023 U.S. Nationals runner up in Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles, Jishan Liang plays with a highly aggressive style.


Our 6 outstanding athletes will be battling for crucial world ranking points as a path to qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The top two mixed doubles teams will directly qualify quota spots for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The US Women’s team has already qualified a quota spot for the Olympics next year.


The Pan Am Games are the world’s third-largest international multisport Games, surpassed only by the Olympic Summer Games and the Asian Games. The Pan Am Games are held every four years for the athletes of the 41 PASO (Pan American Sports Organization) member nations. The Games in Santiago Chile will be the 19th edition of the games which were first held in 1951. The Team USA roster for Chile includes 631 athletes (318 women, 313 men).


The United States Table Tennis Association wishes the US Table Tennis Team the best of luck in their pursuit of success at the 2023 Pan Am Games. Their dedication and hard work are sure to make the nation proud.
