ITTF Pan Am Cup Makes Historic Debut on US Soil

Corpus Christi, TX hosts top 16 players in Pan Am Region


Corpus Christi, TX – [January 19th, 2024]


In an exciting moment for table tennis, the much-anticipated International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Pan Am Cup returns after a 4-year hiatus this weekend in Corpus Christi, TX. This is the first iteration of the event on US soil and is a significant milestone for growing table tennis in the US.


USA Table Tennis CEO Virginia Sung celebrates “the return of the ITTF Pan Am Cup to our calendar. It is a moment of great significance and celebration. For four years, the anticipation has been building, and today, we proudly usher in a new chapter in the history of this distinguished tournament.”


The Pan Am Cup is an invitation only tournament for the top 16 women and men from the Americas and Caribbean. They will battle it out in the best of 7 matches for the title of Pan Am Cup champion. The top two finishers will obtain direct qualification to the ITTF World Singles Cup, which will be held in Macao, China, in April.
