Colorado Springs, Colo. – At the 2024 ITTF Pan American Youth Championships in Lima, Peru, Irene Yeoh secured multiple podium finishes and led the United States Junior National Teams to their successful showing in South America. Yeoh added three golds and one silver to the nine medals won by America: three gold, three silver and three bronze among the U15 and U19 age categories.

This outstanding performance is consistent with Yeoh's earlier success at the U13 Championships in Santo Domingo, where she clinched first place in both the team and doubles events and placed second in singles. Her consistent international excellence across different categories underscores her status as a rising star in the table tennis world.

In the U15 Girls’ events, Yeoh dominated. In Girls’ Singles Yeoh took gold after facing Sunny Zhang, a skilled Canadian chopper that outlasted the rest of the field. Yeoh was able to remain patient, and when the moment struck, capitalize on powerful forehands that painted the back edges of table. Yeoh finished the championship final 3-0 (11-6, 11-4, 11-7).

Continuing her dominance at the Pan Am Championships, Yeoh also captured gold in U15 Mixed Doubles, partnering with Kef Noorani, a rising talent on the U15 Boys’ Junior National Team. Noorani helped the U15 Boys earn a silver medal in their team event, with teammates Dhruv Chopra, William Feng and Charles Shen.

In U15 Girls’ Doubles, Team USA claimed both silver and bronze. Yeoh and her teammate Abigail Yu took silver, while Mandy Yu and Carmen Yu secured bronze.

Irene Yeoh's performance at the 2024 ITTF Pan American Youth Championships in Lima, Peru, solidified her status as a rising star in the United States. As she progresses in her career, Yeoh's early achievements on the Pan American stage position her as one to watch
