Top Contenders Advance to Singles Semifinals at 2025 U.S. Nationals in Ontario

ONTARIO, Calif. – On Day 3 of the 2025 U.S. Nationals in Ontario, California, the men’s and women’s singles championship events advanced to the semifinal rounds, showcasing some of the country’s top table tennis talent.
Men’s Singles Semifinals
The men’s singles semifinals feature several returning stars and rising talents. Kanak Jha, aiming for his record-tying sixth national men’s singles title, will face Sean Zhang in the first semifinal match.
In the second semifinal, Nandan Naresh takes on Jishan Liang. Both players are hoping to capture their men’s singles gold medal at this year’s national championships.
Women’s Singles Semifinals Feature Returning Champions and Rising Stars
Amy Wang headlines the women’s singles bracket as she looks to claim her third national title. After earning silver last year in Huntsville, Alabama, she faces Tiffany Ke in the first semifinal to get an opportunity to return to the top of the podium.
The second semifinal will feature two of the sport’s brightest young stars: 18-year-old Sally Moyland and 14-year-old Irene Yeoh. Both athletes have had major success internationally, including gold medals at multiple Pan American Regions Junior Championships. Moyland and Yeoh train out of Table Tennis America in California and are expected to put on a thrilling match for local fans.
