ONTARIO, Calif. – Amy Wang and Sally Moyland have advanced to the women’s singles final at the 2025 U.S. National Table Tennis Championships.

Wang secured her place in the final after defeating Tiffany Ke in five games, with a score of 4-1 (9-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8). Now vying for her third national singles title, Wang reflected on the achievement:

“I'm super happy, last year I missed out on the first place, so I made it my goal this year to win first in women's singles and yeah, I'm really happy that I made it through.”

Aware at the up-and-coming talent she prepares to face in the finals, Wang also acknowledged the rising talent among younger players.

“Every year is a new year, and I know that a lot of the younger girls are also improving. I love them, they are getting better, and maybe one day they're going to surpass me. So, my goal each and every year, is just to advance through as many rounds as possible.”

In the second semifinal, Sally Moyland punched her ticket to the final with a hard-fought victory over Irene Yeoh in seven games, 4-3 (8-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-13, 11-7, 11-3, 11-7). This marks Moyland’s third finals appearance since 2022. Now at just 18 years old, she’s aiming to capture her first national title.

“It would be incredibly special because I did make it to the finals twice and then I got injured so it's been quite a big setback not being able to be national champion for a long time for me since I've put it as a goal. So yeah, I really want to win this tournament,” said Moyland.

The final will be a rematch of the 2023 U.S. Nationals, which ended is Wang’s favor. Two years later, the stage is set for an exciting showdown between two of the country's top competitors tonight at 7:00 p.m. PST.
