2025 U.S. National Table Tennis Championships Kick Off in California

ONTARIO, Calif. – The 2025 U.S. National Table Tennis Championships are underway at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California. The seven-day tournament runs from June 28 through July 4.
This year’s event features 850 participants competing across 113 championship events. Headlining the competition are five premier championship titles: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
The first major title will be decided in today’s Mixed Doubles final, featuring Bosman Botha/Amy Wang versus Nikhil Kumar/Sally Moyland. The match streams live at 11:30 a.m. PST. Making the matchup more interesting, Wang and Kumar were former teammates and Mixed Doubles champions having won together in 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas. Wang successfully defended her title in 2024 in Huntsville, Alabama, and now aims for a third straight gold, and this time, against her former teammate.
Rich Norton of Apple Valley, California, claimed the first national title of 2025 by winning the 85 & Over Singles round-robin event. A longtime competitor at the Huntsman Senior Games, this marked Norton’s debut at the U.S. Nationals. To make the victory more memorable, he was able to win in front of family and friends in his home state.
Round-robin play has begun for the Under 2000 and Under 1500 divisions in both the Adult and Junior categories, with winners to be decided in the coming days.
Fifteen additional events will also kick off on Day 2 of the tournament, including two of the most anticipated: the Hsing Family Foundation Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles competitions.
