Southeast Regional Table Tennis Championships Return to Florida
by Joshua Dyke
The wait is over as the 2026 Southeast Regional Table Tennis Championships return to Davie, Florida this weekend, bringing together the region’s top talent for three days of competition at the Broward Table Tennis Club.
More than 160 players will compete across 28 event categories, ranging from amateur to elite play, promising an action-packed weekend for athletes and fans.
Headlining the men’s field is Polish Olympian Daniel Gorak. A former world top 60 player and the defending Southeast champion, he enters as the clear favorite to repeat. Alex Cazacu and Carlos Hernandez are seeded close behind, both capable of challenging Gorak for the title.
Last year’s runner-up Hildy Chen returns aiming to claim the Women’s Singles title, but she’ll face strong competition from Shreya Venkateraman and Angela He in what promises to be a tightly contested draw.
Expectations are high for a weekend of close matches and potential upsets with this much depth in each event category. Such competitive fields will test rising juniors and top seeds alike. Adding to the excitement, there will be little room for error throughout all divisions in determining the difference between an early exit and a championship run.
